Underage Drinking Party In Livonia Results In Arrests

Livonia:  Livingston County Sheriff John M. York advises that deputies responded to a residence at 5808 Big Tree Road in the Town of Livonia on Friday night just before midnight for an underage drinking party investigation.  Deputies were alerted to the party as there were individuals outside the residence near the roadway.  As a result of the investigation 24 year old Stephanie Miller and 30 year old Ryan Nerby, both of Lakeville,  were both arrested for seven counts of Unlawfully Dealing with a Child in the 1st Degree for serving alcohol to underage persons. The following persons were charged with Unlawful Possession of Alcohol by persons under 21 years of age;  18 year old Dustin Swift, 20 year old Kevin Maxwell, 20 year old Danielle Galletti, 20 year old Ilene Heck, 19 year old Seth Mastin, 19 year old Mindy Miller, and 18 year old Sullivan Ludwig. All involved were issued appearance tickets to appear in the Town of Livonia Court on a later date. Deputies Thomas Dougherty, Ellen Knight, and James Merrick handled the investigation and arrests.  Major Szczesniak and Sgt. M Dougherty assisted. Sheriff York reminds all of the responsibilty held when hosting a party especially with the holidays upon us.  The Sheriff's Office wishes to inform and educate all with wise decision making and the possible legal consequence of these events.  If you would like to report underage drinking occurences in your community please call 911 or 585-243-7100. Suffolk County Special Victims Unit Helps With Arrest Of Corning Sex Offender

The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a former Town of Corning resident who is currently residing in Shirley New York on Long Island. Sheriff’s Office Investigators conducted an investigation into the unknown whereabouts of Level 2 Sex Offender Brendan W. Dennison, age 22, formerly of Fairway Road in the Town of Corning. The investigation revealed that Dennison allegedly moved from his registered address in the Town of Corning on August 1, 2009 to an unknown address. Sheriff Investigators secured an Arrest Warrant for Dennison for Failure to Report a Change of Address to the Department of Criminal Services as a Convicted Level 2 Sex Offender – Second Offense, a class D felony. Dennison resurfaced in the area of Holbrook, New York around October 26,2009 and Sheriff’s Office Investigators made contact with the Special Victims Unit in Suffolk County to assist with the investigation. Detectives from the Suffolk County Police Department took Dennison into custody on the Arrest Warrant on the afternoon of October 30 and Dennison was detained in the 7th Precinct of the Suffolk County Police Department until Sheriff Investigators arrived to take him into custody. Dennison was arraigned early this morning in the Village of Bath Justice Court where he was remanded to the Steuben County Jail on $2,000 cash/ $4,000 property bail. Dennison is scheduled to reappear on November 2, 2009 to answer the charge.

Two Arrests Made In Conesus Burglary

Livingston County Sheriff John York reports the arrest of two people in connection with a burglary that occurred at Ricky Greene Memorial Park in the Town of Conesus last month. Sheriff York reports that Carrie L. Stymus, 34,CLEMENS of Livonia, and Michael A. Clemens, 28, of Webster, were arrested after a Sheriff's investigation revealed the two had burglarized an historic cabin at the park, stealing numerous antiques and artifacts inside. Several of the stolen pieces were recovered in the course of the investigation. Both Stymus and Clemens were arraigned on theStymus charge of Burglary in the Third Degree before Geneseo Town Justice Haskins and remanded to the Livingston County Jail in lieu of $2500 cash/$5000 bond. They are to reappear at a later date. Sheriff York credits ID Technician/Deputy Bryan Mann for processing the crime scene and developing important evidence that was ultimately instrumental in solving the crime.
