Winthrop man arrested for driving while intoxicated after accident on snowmobile

Massena based State Police arrested JOSHUA M. KELLY, age 29,  SR 11, Winthrop for Operating a snowmobile While Intoxicated on 02/28/10 at about 2:00 AM. The charge resulted form an investigation into a personal injury snowmobile accident on a trail in the Brasher State Forest. KELLY struck a tree which had fallen across the trail and caused lacerations to his face. He was transported to Canton Potsdam Hospital by Tri Town Rescue where he was treated for his injuries. He was issued tickets for operating a snowmobile while intoxicated returnable in the Town of Brasher Court on 03/09/10 at 6:00 PM.

Two Massena women arrested for possessing stolen merchandise

Massena based State Police arrested CORTNEY L. GARRIS, age 21,  East Hatfield St , Massena and KAY L. BULLOCK, age 29,  Liberty Ave, Massena with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th. The two were arrested at the St Lawrence Centre Mall on 02/27/10 at about 8:45 PM following an investigation into shoplifting at JC Penney's and Sears. The two were found to possess approximately $483.00 in stolen merchandise from the stores. They were issued Appearance Tickets returnable in the Town of Massena on 03/10/10 at 5:00 PM.

Underage drinking targeted in Sullivan County.

Saturday, February 27, 2010 - The Troop F Underage Drinker Interdiction detail conducted investigations in Sullivan County. Convenience stores, gas stations and liquors stores (Off-premise establishments) in the southern part of the county were checked for compliance. The following people were charged with Unlawfully selling an Alcoholic Beverage to a Person Under 21 Years of age, in violation of section 65-1 of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Law. Harshadbh Patel, age 41, a cashier at the Mobil station, Rock Hill, NY was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Thompson court to answer the charge. Dorothy Roe, age 76, a cashier at Bloomingburg Liquors on North Rd, Bloomingburg, NY was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Village of Bloomingburg court to answer the charge. Manpreet Singh, age 33, a cashier at the Citgo station, Route 17K, Bloomingburg, NY was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Wallkill court to answer the charge. Deepak Kumar, age 46, a cashier at Global Food & Gas Mart, Rock Hill, NY was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Thompson court to answer the charge. Clint E. Barnes, age 29, a cashier at Pooja Grocery Corp., Bloomingburg, NY was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Village of Bloomingburg court to answer the charge. As a result of the investigations, referrals will be made to the State Liquor Authority.

Thruway traffic stop leads to three Unlawful Possession Arrests

Salina, NY - 02/26/10, On 02/26/10, KEVIN E. STOLARCYK, age 24, of  Deans Hwy., Vernon, NY, JONATHAN W. GAUMER, age 20, of  Skyline Dr., Oriskany Falls, NY, and NICHOLAS M. DABELLA, age 21, of  East Carter Rd., Westmoreland, NY were arrested by the New York State Police - Schuyler for Unlawful Possession of Marijuana after being stopped for a traffic violation on the Thruway. All subjects were released to appear in the Town of Salina Court on 03/10/10 at 5:00 pm.

FORGERY INVESTIGATION IN THE TOWN OF CICERO

( Cicero, NY – February 27, 2010) – On February 27, 2010 the State Police in SP North Syracuse investigated a forgery complaint that occurred at the Wal-Mart, 8064 Brewerton Road, Cicero NY 13039. The State Police arrested 33 year-old, Heidi A. Cassidy, of Syracuse, NY, for criminal possession of a forged instrument 2nd degree – a class D felony, falsifying business records 1st degree – a class E felony, and two counts of petit larceny – a class A misdemeanor. On 02/27/10 at approximately 12:30 PM, Troopers out of SP North Syracuse were dispatched to a forgery complaint at the Wal-Mart in the T/Cicero. Subsequent investigation revealed that Heidi Cassidy used forged UPC bar codes to purchase several items from the Wal-Mart located on Brewerton Road in the Town of Cicero. The defendant also stole an MP3 player from the Wal-Mart. The defendant was processed at SP North Syracuse, and then arraigned in the Town of Cicero Court. The defendant was pre-trial released and is scheduled to re-appear in the Town of Cicero Court at a later date.
