Fatal 2 Vehicle Accident in Campbell

The Steuben County Sheriff's Office reports a fatal two vehicle motor vehicle collision that occurred this afternoon on State Route 415 in the Town of Campbell. Shortly after 2:00 PM, Sheriff Deputies were called to the scene of a motor vehicle and dump truck collision that occurred in front of the Colonial Coach Estates on State Route 415.

Village of Rhinebeck Traffic Advisory 07/31/2010 8:00 P.M.

The New York State Police reports that traffic is moving smoothly through the Village of Rhinebeck with no reported delays.

Report of erratic operation leads to 4 ABC arrests on the Thruway

On 07/30/10, New York State Police – Syracuse received report of erratic operation on the Thruway. Troopers located and stopped the vehicle for speeding, and found that all four occupants were under 21 years of age and in possession of alcoholic beverages. The following subjects were charged with violating section 65C of the ABC Law: TYLER T. ZASTAWRNY, age 20, of 74 Commercial St., Livonia, NY, B. E. BOOR-ELWELL, age 19, of 3796 Piffard Cir., Piffard NY, JUSTIN R. CADY, age 18, of 7417 Rte 63, Groveland, NY, and ADAM J. CARMON, age 18, of 37 Elizabeth St., Dansville, NY; all were released to appear in the Town of DeWitt court on 08/10/10 at 6:00 pm.

Batavia man Charged with Assault

Roberto R. Ayala, age 25 of Valleyview Drive Batavia NY was charged with Assault in the Second Degree following an investigation into a domestic dispute. Mr. Ayala allegedly used parts of a broken chair as a weapon and struck the victim. Mr. Ayala was arraigned in Batavia Town Court and committed to the Genesee County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail.

Speeding leads to 2 UPM arrests on the Thruway

On 07/31/10, DANIEL P. HOGLE, age 20, of 339 S. Main St., Minoa, NY, and BRITTANY M. GMYR, age 20, of 120 Benedict Manor Dr., Kirkville, NY were arrested by the New York State Police – Schuyler for Unlawful Possession of Marijuana after the vehicle they were in was stopped for speeding on the Thruway. Both subjects were released to appear in the City of Utica court on 08/09/10 at 9:00 am.
