Campbell man charged with assault

The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Town of Campbell resident on February 5, 2012 after an investigation into a report of a family trouble in progress occurring in the Town of Campbell.
Gerald D. Wray, 55 of Meads Creek Road in the Town of Campbell, Steuben County was charged with Assault in the Third Degree after Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a reported family trouble in progress late Sunday Morning. The charges filed against Mr. Wray allege that assaulted Loretta L. Horton, causing physical injury to Horton after an argument occurred between the two around 10:45am Sunday morning. Horton was transported to the Gutherie Corning Hospital for treatment.
Mr. Wray was given an appearance ticket for the charge and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Campbell Court of February 27, 2012 at 5:00pm to answer the charge.
