Fire destroys Shortsville home
Manchester and Shortsville Fire Departments were sent to 16 Shirley St in. Shortsville for a reported house
fire this afternoon. 1st arriving units found the front of the house engulfed in flames. Additional help was
requested from the Clifton Springs, Port Gibson, Phelps, Hopewell, Farmington and VA fire departments.
The fire was brought under control after approximately one hour. The home is believed, to be a total loss.
No one was home at the time of the fire, but Carrie Moore, age 33, and her 4 children ages 8„7,6 and 4 reside there. She did have insurance on her home.
The Sheriffs Office and Ontario Co Fire Coordinator Jeff Flarloff are investigating to determine the cause
and origin of the fire, and are still investigating at this time. Shirley St. remained closed to traffic for
several hours during the incident. Homes on each side of 16 Shirley St also suffered damage, to include
siding melting and some smoke damage

Manchester woman arrested for punching neighbor in chest
On 05-20-12 at 6:27pm Ontario County Sheriffs Deputies arrested Elizabeth Tremfer, age 45, of Manchester NY, for harassment in the second degree. She allegedly punched her neighbor in the chest after an argument. She was arraigned in Manchester Town Court and remanded to the jail in lieu of bail. She will reappear in Manchester Town Court at
a later date to answer the charge.

Naples teen charged with growing pot
On 5/20/12 at about 8:30pm at 8714 French Hill Road in the Town. of Naples, Ontario County Sheriffs Deputies arrested Mitchell R. Madden (16yo male) of that residence for Unlawful Possession of Marihuana. This occurred after Deputies were called to the residence for a suspicious condition in which Deputies ultimately discovered Mr. Madden to have several small marihuana plants growing inside the residence. Deputies issued Mr. Madden
an appearance ticket and he will appear in Naples Town Court to answer to the charge.

Canandiagua man charged with AUO
UPON A TRAFFIC STOP AND FURTHER INVESTIGATION, ALEXANDER J. LAWRENCE, AGE 23, OF CANANDIAGUA NY, WAS ARRESTED FOR AGGRAVATED UNLICENSED OPERATION 2ND DEGREE AND UNLICENSED OPERATION. THE DEFENDANT WAS ARRAIGNED IN THE CANANDAIGUA CITY COURT AND REMANDED TO THE ONTARIO COUNTY JAIL IN LIEU OF 1,000.00 CASH BAIL, 2,500 BOND. THE DEFENDANT IS SCHEDULED TO REAPPEAR IN THE CANANDAIGUA CITY COURT AT A LATER DATE.

Naples man charged after threatening to harm motorists
Joseph Anthony Polimeni, age 44, of Naples NY, was arrested and charged with Harassment in the Second Degree after he allegedly threaten harm to a motorist he had a disagreement with at The Company Store located in the Town of Canandaigua. Joe was
arrested in the parking lot at the Naples High School, He was issued an appearance ticket and he will appear in Canandaigua Town Court at a later date to answer the charge.

Bloomfield teen stopped for speeding charged with DWI-Drugs
On May 19, 2012 at about 2:02 am Sheriffs Deputies stopped Ryan Shellman, age 19, of Bloomfield NY, for speeding on State Route 5/20 in, the Town of West Bloomfield. The investigation concluded that Mr. Shellman was driving while intoxicated and Under the influence of drugs. Mr. Shellman submitted to a dat master which, determined that his BAC was higher than .08%. Mr. Shellman was issued citations for speedingj DWI. DWI with the combination of Drugs and Alcohol, and unlawful possession of marijuana. Mr. Shellman Will appear in the Town. of West Bloomfield at a later date to answer his charges

Wayland motorcylist injured in accident in Bloomfield
On 05-19-12 at approximately 1038 am a motorycycle bearing Ny registartion 17GE39 driven by Thomas
Ryan, age 48, of Wayland NY was involved in an accident on Olmstead Rd approximately a 1/2 mile north of State Route 5&20. Mr.
Ryan stated that an uninvolved vehicle which left the scene was the cause of the accident
Mr. Ryan was transported to F.F. Thompson Hospital by Finger Lakes Ambulance with compalints of pain
in his arms and shoulder.
West Bloomfield. Fire on scene assisting. Investigation ongoing.
