1 Car Rollover PIAA ST-31 T/Verona

(Verona, NY – May 19, 2012) -
On 05/19/12 at 8:11PM, Oneida State Troopers investigated a 1 car rollover PIAA on ST-31, T/Verona near VVS High School. Investigation revealed that Cody J. Domena, age 17, Oneida, NY was operating a 2004 Chevrolet Trail Blazer westbound on ST-31. He lost control while passing another vehicle. His vehicle exited the north shoulder of ST-31 striking and severing a utility pole, then overturned. The vehicle came to rest in a field on the driver’s side. One passenger was ejected, transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital via Vineall Ambulance with head trauma. Another passenger was air lifted to Upstate Hospital via Mercy Flight with serious leg trauma. Their injuries are not life threatening. 6 other passengers were transported to area hospitals with various minor injuries. Verona FD, Vernon FD & Oneida County Deputies assisted at the scene. The road was closed for several hours while National Grid removed power lines from the roadway. Unsafe speed and driver inexperience appear to be the primary causes of the accident as the driver only possessed a learners permit. The investigation is continuing,

Clayton man strikes two vehicles, arrested for DWI

The New  York State Police Orleans Interstate Patrol arrested TIMOTHY F. DARTNELL, age 65, 516 Riverside Drive, Clayton, NY for Driving While Intoxicated and unsafe backing.
On Friday, 05/18/12, at approximately 12:40 PM, Mr. DARTNELL backed his vehicle into a construction lift owned by the Town of Clayton that was parked on Riverside Drive in the Village of Clayton.  He then attempted to pull his vehicle into another parking spot, and struck a 1971 GMC Pick up truck owned by JUSTIN M. FISCHER, Watertown, NY, that was properly parked and unattended.  There were no injuries.  Mr. DARTNELL was transported to River Hospital in Alexandria Bay for a Blood test to determine his B.A.C.
Mr. DARTNELL was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and Unsafe Backing and issued tickets returnable to the Village of Clayton Court on 05/29/12.

1 car property damage motor vehicle accident results in DWI arrest in the Town of Ava

(Ava, NY - May 19, 2012) -  State Police in Old Forge arrested 28 year old Evan C. Campbell from the Village of Boonville, New York, for DWI, failed to keep right, and no seat belt after investigating a property damage motor vehicle accident.  Campbell was traveling north on ST 46 in the Town of Ava when he crossed over the double yellow line, struck a road sign, and went into the ditch off the west shoulder of the road.  Campbell was found intoxicated and submitted to a breath test that resulted in a .19% BAC.  Campbell was issued tickets returnable to the Town of Ava court on June 14, 2012 at 6:00 pm.

DWI Arrest in the town of Russell

Gouverneur-based State Police arrested TIMOTHY S. WHITE, 32, of Russell, NY, for DWI on May 17, 2012, at 10:10 pm. WHITE was stopped on Burnell Road in the town of Russell after leaving the scene of a domestic dispute. During the stop, WHITE was found to be intoxicated and placed under arrest.
WHITE was processed at SP Gouverneur where a breath test showed his BAC was 0.19%. He was released with tickets for Aggravated DWI. All tickets are returnable to the town of Russell Court on June 4, 2012, at 7:00 pm.

Friday, 5/18/12:

 

 

On 5/15/12 at 10:42 p.m., Alexis E. Gillard, 19, of  CR 53, Oswego, NY was operating a 2000 Volkswagen east on CR 4 in the Town of Scriba, 300 feet west of CR 53, when she reportedly fell asleep causing the vehicle to exit the north shoulder of the roadway and strike a tree at 4328 CR 4.  Ms. Gillard was transported by ambulance to Oswego Hospital.

 

On 5/17/12 at 10:14 a.m., Harvey P. Webster III, 21, of  E. Utica Street Apt. 1, Oswego, NY was arrested for Aggravated Harassment, 2nd degree and Criminal Contempt, 2nd degree, both class A misdemeanors following an incident in the Town of Schroeppel when he repeatedly called the victim of which has an order of protection filed against him, leaving obscene messages.  Mr. Webster was released on an appearance ticket, returnable to the Town of Schroeppel Court on 6/13/12.

Thursday, 5/17/12:

 

 

 

On 5/13/12 at 12:24 a.m., Victor T. Kelley, 21, of 22 Pulaski St., Altmar, NY was operating a 2011 Kia in the Town of Williamstown and when reportedly attempting to enter SR 13 from the Nice and Easy parking lot, became distracted by an uninvolved vehicle and hit a utility pole.  Mr. Kelley was issued a UTT for Unsafe Starting.

 

On 5/15/12 at 5:07 p.m., Laura J. Decare, 41, of  Skyline Dr., Oswego, NY was arrested for AUO, 3rd degree (suspended on 2/23/12 for insurance not in effect) and Registration Suspended (suspended on 1/23/12 for insurance not in effect) following a traffic stop on CR 53 in the Town of Scriba initiated by the LPR unit alerting.  Ms. Decare was released on UTT’s, returnable to the Town of Scriba on 5/24/12.

Johnsburg man charged with burglary and assault after putting woman in hospital

Date of Incident ……:  May 10, 2012

 

On Thursday May 10, 2012 at 11:36 pm, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office was called to 64 Bartman Rd in the Town of Johnsburg for a domestic violence incident in which the caller’s ex-boyfriend broke into her home and assaulted her.

 

The suspect, 43 year old Roy H. Kuhlmann of  Oven Mountain Rd in Johnsburg fled the area prior to the arrival of the responding officers.  The victim was transported to Glens Falls Hospital where she was treated for injuries sustained during the incident.  The victim spent three days in the hospital due to the extent of her injuries.

 

An arrest warrant was issued for Kuhlmann and on Monday, May 14th, Kuhlmann turned himself in to Sheriff’s officers.

 

Kuhlmann was transported to the Johnsburg Town Court where he was arraigned on charges of Burglary in the first degree, a Class B felony, and Assault in the second degree, a Class D felony.   Kuhlmann was remanded to the custody of the Warren County Correctional Facility without bail.

 

He is due to return to the Johnsburg Town court on May 21st at 7:00 pm.

 

An Order of Protection was issued following arraignment preventing Kuhlmann from having any contact with the victim.
