Cheektowaga, NY – 4 vehicle accident on I-90

The New York State Police out of the SP Buffalo station responded to a four vehicle accident on I-90 eastbound in the Town of Cheektowaga at approximately 1:22PM. The vehicles involved were two passenger vehicles, a single unit straight truck, and a tandem tractor trailer. There were minor injuries only involved in this accident with one person being taken to ECMC. The leftmost lane of I-90 was blocked for approximately ½ hour while the accident was investigated and the vehicles were cleared from the scene.
Vehicle 3 was slowing for traffic when vehicle 2 (the single unit straight truck) struck it from behindand pushed vehicle 3 into vehicle 4. A tandem tractor trailer (vehicle 1) was unable to stop in time and struck vehicle 2 from behind.

Operator: Elizabeth Tedesco, age 44, or Blasdell, NY – taken via ambulance to ECMC for minor injuries
Owner: James Cooper, of Blasdell, NY
V-3: 2000 Chevrolet Impala
Vehicle 4:
Operator: Sister Rachel Mikolajczak, age 68, or Buffalo, NY
Owner: The order of Felician Sisters, Villa Maria, 600 Doat St., Buffalo, NY
V-4: 2010 Ford Focus
