Alfred-Almond.  55 year old Martha Thompson of Almond entered a not guilty plea in Allegheny County Court to charges of driving a school bus drunk. The Alfred-Almond school bus driver will fight 74 charges, which include Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Second Degree Reckless Endangerment. Alfred University was also in the news ranking number 13 in the Princeton Review's annual college guide. Alfred did however rank number 19 in the category of “Least Happy Students”. In Bath, NY William L. Roulle 31, of Liberty Street, was arrested July 21, and charged with fourth degree grand larceny and First Degree Falsifying business records. The arrest followed an investigation into reports that Rouille unlawfully received unemployment insurance benefits between December 2008 and March 2009. Rouille is accused of making false certifications to the state Department of Labor indicating that he was unemployed during a time when he was employed. Hornell police have charged a city employee with taking more than $50,000 over the last two years. Robert Lisi, 58, of Church Street in Hornell was charged with second-degree larceny, a felony. Lisi is an employee in the city finance office. An accident in Wayland left 37 year old Leonard Struble of Conesus in serious condition. The accident happened during a Poker Run when Struble lost control of his bike. Rescue crews say he punctured his chest and seriously hurt his leg. He was airlifted to Strong memorial Hospital. Dansville - 49-year-old Robert Perry admitted to stabbing his girlfriend to death in February. Perry lived with 41-year-old Colleen Spencer on County Route 46 in South Dansville. Kevin Vickers, 55, of Honeoye, was found guilty on 23 of 26 counts, 16 felonies and seven misdemeanors. Vickers could face up to 28 years in prison. He was charged with illegally removing parts from 36 bodies. The University of Vermont women’s soccer team will be led by seniors Rachel Andres (Honeoye NY) and Eliza Bradley (Charlotte Vermont). 39-year-old Alexander Bacon pleaded guilty to Grand Larceny. The Canandaigua restaurant owner admitted to failing to pay sales tax to the tune of quarter million dollars. The $250,000 was money he collected from customers from 2001 to 2007. Waterloo man drowns in Canandaigua Lake. Christopher N. Streits, 28 of 662 Whiskey Hill Trail, Waterloo, was pulled from Canandaigua Lake near Squaw Island. Streitz was taken to Thompson Hospital where efforts to revive him were unsuccessful. An investigation is underway but it is believed he became tired while swimming. Dr. Bruce Klien agreed to enroll in a continuing education program. Area of study…surgical time out protocol. It seems the good doctor performed the wrong knee surgery twice. I-Team 10 reports that a woman went to FF Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua to have knee surgery and the surgery was performed on the wrong knee. Dr Klien made an identical mistake on a patient 7 years ago.
