Both charged in Semi Truck/Car Accident in Campbell
The Steuben County Sheriffs Offices reports a two car motor vehicle accident which occurred on July 30 of 2010 on State Route 415 in the Town of Campbell. The accident involved a 93 Honda Civic operated by Lewis T. Crowell age 58 of Elmwood Ave, Aurora N.Y and a Mack Semi-Tractor with flatbed Trailer operated by Raymond 0. Tomb age 50 of Oak Lane, Roulette P.A.. Mr. Tomb was attempting to make a left turn into a driveway when Mr. Crowell attempted to pass on the left using the oncoming lane. Mr. Crowell's vehicle collided with Mr. Tomb's vehicle causing front end damage to both vehicles. Neither the drivers nor passengers of the vehicles were injured. Mr. Crowell was cited for Unsafe Passing and Mr. Tombs was cited for Overlength Combination vehicle. Both parties were scheduled to appear in Campbell Town Court at a later date.
