Steuben Sheriff’s Charge Two with a String of Burglaries

The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of two subjects today for Burglary in the second degree and Grand Larceny in the third degree. Both charges being felonies.

Jeremy T. Zonnevylle 19 of Fox Road Avoca and Jarrod A. Freelove 17 of E. Morris Street Bath were both charged as part of a continuing investigation into a string of burglaries occurring at the same dwelling in the Town of Wayne late last year.

The charges allege that Zonnevylle and others acted together to unlawfully enter the dwelling and while in the dwelling did steal several thousand dollars of United States Currency.

The charges further allege that Freelove as a knowing accomplice drove Zonnevylle and other individuals to the dwelling and then waited in close proximinity while the crimes were being committed. The charges further allege that Zonnevylle and Freelove received a portion of the stolen currency.

Both subjects were processed and arraigned in Bath Town Court and released on their own recognizance.

Zonnevylle was directed to appear in Wayne Town Court at 7:00pm on Thursday March 18th.

Freelove was directed to reappear in Bath Town Court at 3:00pm on Wednesday March 24.

The Sheriff’s Office has recovered a quantity of the stolen currency and over thirty items that were purchased with the stolen money.

Assisting the Sheriff’s Office with this incident was the Steuben County District Attorney’s Office.
