New York State Thruway arrested three subjects from Gloversville for marijuana possession

Traffic Stop leads to drug arrests

On 02/04/12 state troopers on the New York State Thruway arrested three subjects from Gloversville for marijuana possession following a vehicle and traffic stop. At approximately 9:15PM a vehicle operated by Randy Bishop of Gloversville, NY was stopped for speeding in the Town of Princetown, Schenectady County. After the initial traffic stop a search of the vehicle revealed approximately 5.1 pounds of marijuana located in the trunk.
As a result of this traffic stop the following subjects were arrested:
Samer Abdelhak, 22, was arrested for Criminal Sale of Marijuana in the 3rd degree and Criminal Possession of Marijuana in the 2nd degree, both felonies, along with Obstructing Governmental Administration in the 2nd degree, a misdemeanor. .
Randy Weiderman, 24, was arrested for Criminal Possession of Marijuana in the 2nd degree, also a felony.
Joscelyn Bishop, 21, was arrested for Unlawful Possession of Marijuana which is a violation.
All 3 subjects are from Gloversville, NY. Abdelhak and Weiderman were arraigned at the Town of Princetown Court and remanded to the Schenectady County Jail without bail. Bishop was issued an appearance ticket to appear at Princetown Town Court at a later date.
