Stafford, NY – Felony criminal mischief arrest for “tagging” along the Thruway

On February 7, 2012 the State Police on the Thruway arrested the following subject for Criminal Mischief 3rd (Class E Felony), 5 counts of Making Graffitti (Class A Misdemeanor), Possession of Graffitti Instruments (Class B Misdemeanor), and Unlawful Dealing with Fireworks (violation), after an investigation into reports that a bridge located on the I-90, New York State Thruway, between the Batavia and Leroy Exits had been repeatedly “tagged”, using spray paint, with disparaging remarks against the President of the United States. Investigation has revealed that this act had been committed on five separate dates, each time just after the bridge had been cleaned by the Thruway Authority. Investigation is still ongoing and looking into information that this act was committed in different locations between Buffalo and Rochester.
