Steuben Sheriff’s make scanner arrest, AUO arrest

The Steuben County Sheriff’s office reports the arrest of an eighteen year old Bath resident following a traffic stop on Geneva Street in Bath. The male subject was issued tickets for unauthorized police radio frequency receiving device and failure to obey a traffic control device. It is alleged that the male subject had in his motor vehicle a scanner capable of receiving police radio frequencies. The male is to appear in Bath Village court at a later date.
The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Kyle J. Babcock, age 24, of Hornell. Babcock was issued traffic tickets for Disobeying a Traffic Control Device, Operating a Motor Vehicle without proof of Insurance, Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended Registration, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd degree following a traffic stop on State Route 53. Babcock is to appear in the Town of Wheeler court at a later date.
