Suspect Arrested For Murder of Jason Wing

On February 1, 2012, members of the Troop “B” Violent Crimes Investigation Team arrested Dustin J. Trimm, age 37, 325 County Route 49, Winthrop, New York, charging him with Murder 2nd degree for the homicide of Jason M. Wing, Winthrop, New York.
On November 17, 2010, Massena-based troopers received a report of missing person, Jason M. Wing, who was 21 at the time. The investigation established that Wing had last been seen during the summer of 2010. As the investigation progressed, evidence indicated that there was foul play with Wing’s disappearance. An intensive investigation lasting over one year, culminated with the arrest of Dustin Trimm. Members of the Troop “B” Forensic Identification Unit are presently conducting a search of property located on the Grantville Road, located in the town of Norfolk. This search was commenced on February 1, 2012, and is ongoing at this time. Investigators located human remains that are believed to be those of Jason Wing. St. Lawrence County Coroner James Sienkiewycz responded to the scene and authorized removal of the remains. An autopsy has been ordered and is scheduled for February 3, 2012.
Dustin Trimm was processed by State Police and arraigned before Norfolk Town Court following his arrest. Trimm was remanded to St. Lawrence County Jail without bail following his arraignment.
This case remains under investigation by The New York State Police and St. Lawrence County District Attorney Nicole Duve.
