Arrest made after accident in Darien Lake Theme Park
Joshua Andrew Robert Anstett, age 18, of Caledonia Canada was involved in a motor vehicle accident inside the theme park of Darien Lake. The defendant was found to be operating a motor vehicle within the employee parking lot of Darien Lake and then drove over nine fence posts, striking three different chain link fences, a set of wooden stairs and was subsequently stopped by Darien Lake Security Officers inside the park venue.
The defendant was eventually arrested and issued traffic summons and directed to appear in the Town of Darien court on 06/12/2012 at 5:00pm.

Wayland motorcylist injured in accident in Bloomfield
On 05-19-12 at approximately 1038 am a motorycycle bearing Ny registartion 17GE39 driven by Thomas
Ryan, age 48, of Wayland NY was involved in an accident on Olmstead Rd approximately a 1/2 mile north of State Route 5&20. Mr.
Ryan stated that an uninvolved vehicle which left the scene was the cause of the accident
Mr. Ryan was transported to F.F. Thompson Hospital by Finger Lakes Ambulance with compalints of pain
in his arms and shoulder.

Clinton County Sheriff’s Department responded to a two car personal injury auto accident
The Clinton County Sheriff’s Department responded to a two car personal injury auto accident on St Rt 22, in the visinity of Bucks gas station. Upon the patrols arrival, and investigation into the accident it was determined that, a 2000 Ford Ranger pick up truck, being operated by Frank J. Stafford (52 YOA) was stopped in traffic awaiting an uninvolved vehicle to turn into a driverway. At this time a 2008 Ford Focus being operated by Melissa Martell (39 YOA) rear ended the vehicle being operated by Stafford. Both Melissa and her seventeen year old daughter Sierra Martell were transported to CVPH. Sierra was complaining of pain and irritation to her eyes and Melissa complained of neck pain. Melissa was issued a ticket for following to closely. The Sheriff’s Department was assisted by District Three Fire Department and the EMT’s of CVPH.

Motorcyclist Life Flighted after accident in Plattsburgh
On May 16, 2012 at approximately 1601 hrs the Clinton County Sheriffs Department responded to the scene of a car versus motorcycle accident, located on St Rt 3 near the Lee Appliance Store and the Sunoco station. Upon the investigation into the accident, and after speaking with several witnesses, it was determined that Maribeth L. Cross (17 YOA) was operating her 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix in a westerly direction on St Rt 3. Maribeth attempted to make a left hand turn into the Sunoco station and struck a 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle, traveling east bound, being operated by Robert J. Matthews (47 YOA). As a result of this action Matthews motorcycle was layed down on its right side and traveled approximately one hundred and fifty feet before coming to rest in the driveway to the Lee Appliance Store. Matthews was transported by rescue personnel to CVPH, with a left leg injury, and was later transported to Fletcher Allen Health Care in Vermont via Life Flight. Maribeth was issued a ticket for failure to yield the right of way during a left turn. The investigation into the accident is ongoing at this time. The Sheriffs Department was assisted by the South Plattsburgh Fire Department and the EMT’s of CVPH.

State Police in Lockport Investigate Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident Involving a Pedestrian

Forestville man dies in accident in Sheridan
Mario R. Estrada-Solis, age 41, of Ontario Cananda, was operating a tractor-trailer eastbound on State Route 20 in the Town of Sheridan. He was approaching the intersection with County Road S Roberts Rd. John C. Dillenburg, age 73, of Foresstville NY was operating a van Southbound on S Roberts Rd on the portion that is North of Route 20. Dillenburg pulled into the path of the oncoming tractortrailer, failing to yield the right of way. Estrada-Solis attempted to stop and moved to the right but was unable to avoid the collision. The front corners of the vehicles collided. Extensive damage was caused to both vehicles.
Dillenburg was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Coroner. Witnesses to the accident state that speed wasn’t a factor.
